My Life with Helicopters and its History

The German Air Force taught me why a helicopter is flying. With this fundamental knowledge how to spell “Helicopter” I joined in 1979, after 12 years with the Air Force, MBB Helicopter Division. After some turbulence in the “Whirly-World” of helicopters I had some stopovers in Indonesia, Middle East and in the vicinity of the Eiffel Tower, so to speak Paris.
Finally I ended up in the City of Helicopters Donauwörth.
Responding to my mature age of 47 years, in 1991, Eurocopter thought I am the right person to deal world-wide with used helicopters. This is why I got the nickname “Used-Peter”.
Especially used helicopters have fascinating life, with all its ups and downs, so to speak the “Whirly-World”. Exactly this was the nucleus for my website. My website should offer to helicopter fans the possibility to gain information about the historical development of the MBB respectively the Eurocopter helicopters, technical data and stories around these helicopters.
Under the link Forum all helicopters fans are invited to contribute with information, details and stories to improve this website, because helicopters have a living history. I want to express my thanks to my Eurocopter colleagues who helped in gathering information, pictures and stories for this website.

But now let’s start, fasten your seat belts and take-off in the world of Planet-Helicopter

Your Used-Peter
